Hello I’m Aaron Moreno from alpha m image consulting. So a while back I did a video on men's accessories, but I got to think, I'm like, you know accessories is a very general and broad term. I mean that could mean a cool ring, accessories could mean a cool pair of glasses, accessories could mean a great belt buckle, but today I wanted to narrow it down a little bit so today's video we're talking about men's jewellery.
In my opinion jewellery comes in two different categories, your dress jewellery which is made entirely of metal and then you have casual jewellery which is made of pretty much anything that can you can have metal you can have wood you can have plastic, rubber, fabric, twine, hemp, it doesn't matter pretty much if it grows or is manufactured you can make it to jewellery. These are the two categories of jewellery that we're going to talk about today. All right example this watch, I would consider this dress jewellery it's made entirely of metal and don't email me it's got glass I know it's got glass. Casual jewellery, something like this rosary that I'm wearing, you've got wood beads, you've got metal beads, it's a mix of metal and wood. So this I would consider casual. Now, they give it like this you've got dress shoes on, you've got casual belts, they're going to be different you don't want to mix the two together. So if I’ve got a dress watch on, I don't necessarily want to be wearing a bunch of casual stuff like this rosary or maybe this bracelet, it's leather and looks like lead, it's probably not may don't lead, but um you don't want to mix the two it looks a little bit awkward. So you've got a great pair of dress shoes on with a high shine, you don't want to wear a casual distress belt it just doesn't look right. Same sort of thing goes for men's jewellery, keep the dress, the dress, keep the casual, too casual don't blend the two together. Alright next let's talk about metals you've got gold, you've got silver now. I know that you've got platinum and titanium and tungsten and dude for this video it's either silver or it's gold, simple. You don't want to blend the two together so if you're wearing a silver watch you do not want your gold ring on. That is a fact, and who is gold anymore it's so 1985 and some of you were like Aaron i’ve got a watch and it's two-tone it's silver and gold what do I do? Well you my friend were the lucky one because you can wear gold and silver because your watch is pretty much giving you the green light. Personally I would get a new watch that's all either gold or so all silver, but that's just me, but it's up to you. Okay, so we got that out of the way, you've got dress jewellery, you've got casual jewellery don't blend the two. You've got gold, you've got silver, don't blend the two. So let's now talk about the different jewellery options for men we're going to start with rings. Rings, so truth be told I'm a huge fan of men's rings now not just any men's ring, I'm not talking a simple silver band that's kind of boring. I'm talking about a ring that's something interesting, something dynamic, that when somebody sees it they're like hey that's a cool ring and generally I like to have some sort of story behind the ring. To give you an example one of my all-time favourite rings that I’ve ever bought was this one and the story behind it, is it's got different it's got some wood in there it's got Onyx in there, silver, I got this when I was in Los Angeles when I went out to film fear factor. I was in Los Angeles, I was in the airport there was a jewellery store I went in to look, I saw this really cool men's ring and I was like damn I need to have that and it's a great story. Well I wore this ring until I got married and then I wear this ring, this wasn't technically my wedding band but I didn't really like my wedding band so I went out and bought a $20.00 ring, a little bit chunky, a little bit more masculine. Something a little bit more interesting, it's just the ring, I'm married it's on the right hand. So once I started wearing this ring I stopped wearing this ring, reason being is that in my personal opinion a guy should only wear one ring. I see a lot of guys, typically young guys or older guys that are trying to be young, that think it's cool to have like two rings on one hand. Um, it's not in my opinion. One ring one hand, so if you're not married I would say go with the right hand and what finger should you wear that ring on? I would say your ring finger, I think it looks incredibly douchey for a guy to have a pinky ring on, even if it is your grandfather Angelo's. Nothing says Italian like a gold pinkie ring with a ruby and diamond chip and some guys are out there right now going dude, I got two pinky and an index finger ring. Oh badass, you're not badass you're a douche, but not as big a douche as the guy wearing it on his thumb. Guys if you're going to wear a ring, wear one, wear it on your ring finger, that's it. Next up, bracelets. So at different times different bracelets are very popular. When I was growing up we had jelly bracelets and then we had these cool little string bracelets that you would weave together, make little knots you'd give your friends, they've given to you and you'd have like 12 going up your arm and they were awesome and a few years ago everybody was living strong and then everybody started making these dumb things in here, like hey I'm Bob's big boys and they're like really cool and today everybody's killing the silly bands and you're like god these are so cool i’ll wear forever because it's a pickle. No seriously this one's a pickle or a green schlong, they lied on the package. Oh wait, no I'm sorry, this is the schlong. I don't know how I got them. Remember charm bracelets? They were popular another bracelet of mine leather and lead, I really don't think it's led but God it looks like. There are a ton of options when it comes to things you wear on your wrist these days and I say if it's something that you're interested in or you see one that you really like, I say go for it, get it, wear it. Ah but don't go crazy don't get them on both wrists, don't wear twelve on one wrist, I know that there are those guys that wear a ton of bracelets and like it's kind of their thing and if you're that guy then go for, it but for you guys I'd say wear one bracelet, maybe two on one wrist. Next up let's talk about watches, watches in my opinion are sort of becoming you lost accessory a lot of guys are not wearing watches anymore. Years ago, before cell phones every guy you would see have a watch. You'd be walking out so you'd be like excuse me sir do you have the time and he'd be like why certainly. It today mm-hmm because everybody's got a cell phone and I'm saying if you're into watches get a watch and wear it. If you're not into watches it doesn't matter really as much these days I used to think that it was essential for a guy to wear a watch. The reason I would say that was because if a guy has a watch on, subconsciously you think that he's punctual, you think that he's responsible, today with everybody having cell phones, I say if you want to wear a watch do it. If you don't, don't. Uh it's really up to you. Next let's talk about men's neck wear or gold necklace chains. It used to be, back when I was a youngster, the only options that we had as men were pretty much silver or gold chains. You could have a rope chain, you could have a link chain, but all you had silver and gold chains. Well today they're making necklaces out of everything. You've got them silver in wood, you've got them out of out of rope, out of twine, out of rubber, out of leather, I mean they're doing amazing things, like look at this cool one it's rubber and metal. Think simple and understated, don't go over the top with big gaudy pendants and gold medallions and keep it simple guys, but if you find a necklace that you love I say go for it. Puka shells, not so much. Don't wear a choker either, chokers are for girls. They are. Next up earrings, now some of you think that I wear big old diamonds. I know how you would think that I am very luxurious but I don't there's simple little cheap-ass silver Snuggie hoops. Where did I get them, I have no idea, where can you get them online. It's really tough to find cool men's earrings in stores these days, they used to have them a lot more at the alternative stores, but it's really tough to come by. Online though, you can find a zillion different options, just do a search for men's silver earrings, jewellery, whatever it may be and you'll find tons of stuff. I just ordered this little tiny Snuggie hoop the other day, it was like three bucks. Where did I order it, I don't remember it was one of those place, I did a silver men's silver hoop search and found it and last but certainly not least, we can't forget about toe rings. If you're a man and you're actually wearing a toe ring hand it over, your guy card, give it here, only chicks wear toe rings, fact. And for you women out there who may have stumbled upon this video by accident if you're actually wearing a toe ring, word on the street, you're easy. We have not addressed nose rings and eyebrow rings and my assumption is, if you're wearing a nose ring, if you're wearing an eyebrow ring, you really don't give a crap what my opinion is. So it doesn't matter. For the record take this shit out of your face. So okay, in conclusion, jewellery is a great way to express yourself. It is fun to wear, it's fun to look for when you find a great piece, it's fun to put it on and be like what's up. It's a pickle okay, so that last video, if I had a dollar for every comment, it was like Aaron's got chicken legs. I usually get comments, the negative comments and commas a I'm like it whatever I don't even pay him any attention and then this time I'm like, I get them, like chicken legs wait it's a chicken legs dude. Okay and I'm like don't play into, don't buy into it, don't feed the beast but chicken legs, I am a firm believer and you've got to work out the whole body and it is a pet peeve of mine of guys that have big massive upper bodies but they have really, really skinny legs. So I was like I don't have chicken legs, so I took a picture. The orange underwear, mail basics, the quads, squats and lunges. I don't have huge massive legs but they are definitely not chicken legs in my personal opinion, maybe they are, I don't know Quadzilla, you tell me.

Hi everyone so this video is going to be about statement necklaces and a little bit about how to wear them. So you probably already know that they're so on trend at the moment, they've been around for quite a while but they've been growing in popularity. I mean i saw a lot of people wearing last summer I was growing them a lot last summer all the way through winter and the Christmas season and this year, they've kind of gone boom and everyone is loving the statement necklace, but not everybody is kind of 100% sure on how to wear them or what to wear them with. Because a lot of them are quite sparkly and very pretty and some of them are quite big.
People think that maybe you can only wear them special occasions and to parties and stuff, but the perfect accessory for adding to a plain t-shirt and jeans and it instantly kind of dresses up your outfit, even if you're going out for coffee or out shopping with a friend. Hey before I show you all the gorgeous statement necklaces I do just want to point out that these are all handpicked by me and from my brand logos. I’m making that obvious from the start, like these are my products I’m showing you and I love every single one of them. If you're not interested in hearing about my products personally or statement necklaces, then that is absolutely fine, you don't have to watch this video but I just wanted to let you know right up front in case you're thinking oh they're all from her brand, yes they are, so without further ado I’m going to show you the necklaces and talk a little bit about how to wear them. so as you can see I’m obviously wearing one right now and this is the millie statement necklace and this is one of my favourites. I paired it with a pale pastel pink t-shirt it has mint pale pink and clear stones and the chain is made up of little hearts. It's really, really beautiful and yes I’m going to zoom so you can see and I don't want to talk about each necklace for five minutes because I’m sure that will get a little bit boring, but this is the first one I want to show you. So hopefully that's in focus and as you can see it's just so gorgeous the way it hits the light and hopefully you can see this pretty heart chain detail as well and yet as I said this is one of my absolute favourites and I just pair it pair them with really basic t-shirts, jeans, even like with a pair of pencils or flats or sandals for summer and you are good to go and you just add that little bit of glamour. So yeah this one's really pretty it's got like these five piece detail so I love this one and all of the links. If you are interested in having a look at them on the website art in the box below. So as you can see I’ve changed my top, I’ve got this just a little basic jumper on, it's got that tight arms and it's three-quarter lengths and it's just kind of like a thin knit jumpery top kind of thing, and this is the thing I like to wear a lot of the time but it can look a little bit boring and plain. So I thought I would just show you it here at first before I put it on. This is another one of my favourites i should stop summit because they're all my favourites I hand selected them and this is has these violet really gorgeous white flowers and I offer a statement and you could of course wear these on a night out, they look amazing over like any dress. If you're going to a wedding, but you can jazz up your daytime outfits with it as well. So I’m just going to pop this on and the good thing about all of these as I have extendable chains so whether that wherever the neckline of your top comes to you can wear it a bubble below depending on like how you kind of like your necklaces and stuff to fit. This is what the sienna necklace looks like and I will zoom in again to quickly show you. So we have a lot of pastel statement necklaces on the website at the moment because we absolutely are obsessed with pastel at dahle bovo we always love to hear your feedback so if you love us to add some bright pops of colour and some more kind of neon necklaces then let us know, because we just absolutely adore all of these pieces. So if you'd like to see some bright colours let us know as well, this is one of our brighter ones and it's the imogen and it has this really pretty pop of yellow. It's your life stones in the middle and it has kind of sapphire blue stripes and clear stones as well. Again just pair it with any t-shirts or if you're going out an evening and you're good to go. Everyone must have a plain white t-shirt in their wardrobe, I know I have a bajillion of them because they're just such a simple staple piece to have, but I just feel like adding a statement necklace to it makes me feel a lot more put together and kind of ready to go out and I just feel a little bit more glamorous. So I have this one on now which is the grace, our range at the moment is from about twelve pounds to twenty-two pounds for the necklaces and this one is our top price one at 22 pounds and I just think it's an amazing price point for how much detail and work there is in this beautiful necklace. Is absolutely amazing and you can get similar ones in high street shops and they are so I’m much more expensive. so this is what it looks like and this is what it looks like zoomed in. So I’m just going to show you a couple more because I’m sure you're getting a disc now and i really just wanted to show you them and put them out there for you to see and we have loads more over on the website, but I didn't want to put every single one of them in this video today. And but all of the links for them are in the box below and all the information for our website. We're also getting loads of new floral crowns in, loads of new dolly bow, so it's a really, really exciting time for the brand and I just quickly want to just take this second to say thank you for everyone that supported us over the last four years. So far because you are all absolutely amazing and I know I don't do videos on my products all of the time which I wouldn't want to be doing anyway, but you guys do ask for these videos a lot so if you are still watching because you're genuinely interested then I love you so much and thank you and I hope you continue to love what we stock at dolly voevoda code at uk. So I’m going to leave you with now a couple more zoomed in shots of a few more pieces, this one is the phoebe necklace, again i love it very much and it's sticking with the pastel theme. So it's totally on-trend and a big thumbs up in my book, so this is what it looks like zoomed in. And finally if you're looking to get yourself a statement necklace but you're not really sure if the trend is for you or if it's going to suit you, then we have this one which is a little bit more toned down and this is the alice necklace. It just has these three really pretty mint flowers with clear stones and it's on a little gold chain. This is what it looks like a little bit further away so I’ll just so you can just see the size bit compared to the other ones. So yeah like I said lows moreover on website thank you so much for watching everyone and I’ll be back with another video soon. Bye, so I thought I would quickly show you some pictures of the bubba and we've already put it on the fridge and they're just adorable. Video Credit - Kate Murnane Hi everyone its Justine, this video is part of the French series on my channel and today we're talking about jewellery, necklaces to be precise. I want to show you with which neckline I would wear each type of necklace because I feel the neckline is actually the important thing to consider. Then we'll talk about how to make the necklace work with the rest of the outfit, French way. You'll see that I own a lot of silver, that's just me, if you prefer gold, rosy gold or something else then imagine what I'm showing with your preferred metal material. I'm talking about proportions but the colour and the metal is really up to your taste in your skin, just so you know, let’s go.
The basic chain necklace you can wear a chain alone that's something I like to do with a chunkier chain like this one or with a matching pendant, either way it's classic, it's minimal, maybe a bit conservative but it always works. You can add natural stones, that's a great way to use a colour that suits you well and by that I mean that you can highlight your skin or your eyes etc., or you can choose a more faceted version where the stone is enclosed in metal. If I set it stone we also shine a lot more so it catches the attention to that area of your body a lot more, it's up to you. This one is a classic camel design, those usually come faceted and sculpted on the front, that's the type of present that French grandmother's would give their granddaughters on big occasions. A pearl is also a great sleek option to highlight either the teeth in white, or the eyes in my case that cells fit my eyes very nicely and then you can also use rings as pendants each one of your rings gives you a different necklace, I like that idea a lot. A chain necklace in my opinion works best with a shirt because the side here may be covered there's not much to see anyways but this area here, should be on bare skin, it looks very nice on bare skin and it highlights that you worry that you're wearing. Also if the shirt is not buttoned up to here, but you leave like one or two buttons open the V-shape also attracts the attention to the area, so it's very nice. An oval neckline or a round neckline would work too I think, because the chest is framed here as well. I would also, if the chain is very short independent and here, applied then I would also wear it with the V-neck sweater or V-neck t-shirt. I would avoid crewneck because then the pendant is exactly overlapping with a neckline and I feel that's not working in terms of proportions. A bolder short necklace, necklaces with mixed materials or something I really like if you want to make a bit of a bolder statement, but you look classy. This one is still close to the neck so it works well with any top that leaves this area free. I wouldn't wear that with a turtleneck sweater because it would be too tight around the neck, it looks like you can't breathe, then you probably can’t. Now a very bold short necklace, this one I would wear with a crewneck because it would cover it anyways. Here you don't have to take metal this one is rope, there are beautiful ones made out of fabrics of paper with knots with patterns etc., if I'm wearing a necklace like this then no earrings are really just a minimum like a little nail that goes through the ear hole and just a mini visible element on the front, nothing more. Big short necklaces also work really well with risqué tops and dresses. A long metal necklace, this can be shaped with beads on a chain as this one actually is, or it could simply be a long chain eventually with a big pendant on it and that can be metal, but also something else that you like. Anything longer than your bust line here falls into that category of long necklaces and you can wear those, in my opinion, perfectly with the turtleneck sweater or knitted jersey that goes up to here because then the necklace gets all the spotlight. So waterfall statements necklace, this is what people usually call a statement necklace, a chain around the neck and then it complex and or heavy structure attached to it. The waterfall necklace has this triangle shape, think of Sofia Vergara, typical hourglass body, when she wears a mermaid dress with her breasts pushed up like hell, she typically wears such a necklace. My favourite way of wearing a waterfall is actually with the crew neck t-shirt because with a dress always looks very dramatic, but with a t-shirt it looks like you just filed up the casual look and you have more opportunities, occasions to wear a t-shirt than a mermaid dress, so you can wear your statement necklace a bit more often, though I'm very picky on the length, the waterfall has to start below the neckline for me otherwise it doesn't work in terms of proportions. Again the so called ethnic statement necklace that is my favourite, go bold or go home. It covers very large surface on the chest so it's almost like an Egyptian colour, it's also sometimes called a collar necklace because of that, I do feel like a pharaoh when I wear it. I wear that with a bustier neckline with a crewneck or with a turtleneck, not with a V-neck. A choker necklace, this one is a choker because it is tight around the neck it also be worn higher up on the neck. I don't like the plastic tattoo like one that are part of the occurrence 90s comeback but I do like this length because it can be worn with different tops, compared to other types of necklaces, for instance a halter neck top or dress looks great with a choker. You could also wear that with an off-the-shoulder top to give it an elegant touch, even if it's actually a more casual top. So a choker is in fact a very good option to style up an outfit very easily. Necklace verses the rest of the outfit, we've seen the different lengths of necklace and which necklines they work well with, now comes the French perspective on all this. First the bigger the necklace the smaller the other elements of jewellery should be, if you're wearing any. If I'm wearing my blue and white rope chunky necklace for instance and I add big earrings on top, I'm going to feel like a Christmas tree. In France we don't usually wear a full set with the necklace, the cuff, the ring and the earrings it's a bit too much. So if I'm wearing a necklace I'm just going to wear a ring or if I'm wearing an arm cuff with earrings, I feel that's enough. I wear one necklace at a time, not layered, not zero once, there are people who do that, but you would immediately in France, be seen as hippie bohemian and it's not quite office appropriate, unless it can be matched with your eyes, that's best case actually, or with your purse, with your shoes, but usually doesn't have the colour of the rest of the outfit. It's rather a contrasting colour so your necklace will in fact track the eye here and spend for itself, it's a great way to highlight your chest if you wish to. Enter again as everything French quality over quantity. You'd rather wear the same beautiful golden chain necklace every day of the year, than every week a different one, but the styling, so that's how the French sees necklace piling. If you live in a different country or continent you might seriously disagree with my taste and you're welcome to do so in the comments below. I'm curious, I also have a question to you guys. How do you wear jewellery? Which kind of elements do you really wear on which occasions? What are you favourite pieces? I have to warn you, it's market research kind of. Thumbs up if you enjoyed this video, thank you so much. I will see you soon, Wednesday and Sunday every week, until then you'll find further videos from that French series on my channel page. Take care, bye bye. Hey everyone is Aja Dang and today's video is all about stacking. Now what is stacking? Stacking is basically layering chokers and necklaces together to get something beautiful like this and every time I post pictures of me wearing necklaces and chokers, you guys always ask me where I get them, so I decided to do a dedicated video on how to stack.
So not only am I going to teach you basic how to stacking tips and tricks, but I'll also be changing into different necklines to show you how you can stack according to your neckline. So I hope you all enjoy this video, again I love stacking because for me, who is very minimal in terms of jewellery this is just a really fun and easy way to I guess improve my wardrobe. So I hope you all enjoy it and if you want to see how to stack, stay tuned. Alright so let's get to the basics, this will be your starting point for any stacking you want to do. The first necklace should hit right here I think is called the sternum but basically it needs to hit in the middle of these two bones. Depending on your neck size this will either be a 12 or 14 inch neck. This is a good starting point right here, because you can either stack below, above or both this initial piece. Now I'm going to add this washed ashore pearl piece, now that you have these two together, you can decide what your look is going to be. As you continue to add upwards to your stack, just make sure they each additional piece is just higher than your last piece. Okay so now this is really a full neck so we're going to add a couple layers below, so to start going down the neckline I'm going to use this really simple lariat. I like how the crystal piece in this lariat mimics the crystal piece in the very first choker that we put on. It's important to start keeping everything centre or else your neckline is just going to look crazy. This necklace is great because it's basically its own stack but we're just going to add it to our current stacking situation and this piece also has tassels, but today I'm just going to tie them together and let them fall. So with this stack we played with different textures, we added beaded textures and heavier textures and then lower on the neck we kept it simple. The most colour we did was in this cream pearl, but mostly this is gold and crystal. I wore this on snapchat and Instagram and you all loved it, so now you can create your own fabulous stack with these tips. For off-the-shoulder, you want to layer higher. This way you won't distract from the beautiful off-the-shoulder neckline I like to use this bolo. This piece is actually my go-to, I'm sure you've seen this in at least three or four of my videos. I wear it all the time, you can either tie it on the back for a minimal look or wrap it around. Since the tie is black this of course would look great with a black top. This looks amazing as is but if you wanted to add an additional piece to your look, this piece would be great. The piece itself is minimal and looks great on its own plus it already has some built in layers. Since I'm stacking them together I'm going to tie the bow low in the backs the bow doesn't look too busy with the gold drops. Now let's talk about the bra chain, a lot of people only think to wear bra chains with bathing suits but they are actually way more versatile than that. I'm pairing this bra chain with a deep V top because it adds more dimension without being too over-the-top. The best thing about using a bra chain is that it stays in place, where as necklaces kind of do their own thing so if you wanted more security, a bra chain might be the way to go. So since it's called out I think styling a turtleneck with a choker is really pretty. First the turtleneck should be on the tighter side, I have some drape your turtlenecks that would not look good with the stack. Second the chokers should be on the thicker side so it stands out against the turtleneck. Look at that, how cute is that? All right everyone thank you so much for watching this video, I hope you found it informative. Again all the links are going to be in the description box, please check it out and if you have a particular choker or necklace that you absolutely love and would love to share with us, please share in the comments and if you have any other video recommendations, please put those in the comments section as well. I'm Aja Dang, thank you so much for watching. I'll see you all later, bye. Hi everyone, this is Lauren. So probably the number one thing I've been asked to do on this channel, is to talk about my favourite jewellery and besides stating the obvious, like my engagement ring, my wedding band, stuff like that. I thought it would be more interesting to do my favourite necklace combination.
As you can see if you watch my videos, I like to layer. Not only my jewellery, I layer my nail polish, I layer my rings, you know my hair is a little bit layered even though the goal was to cut out all the layers to make it grow again. I like layering and the reason behind layering is because then you get to wear more of what you have and so you don't just get to wear one thing. That time, that day of the week, you can wear more; it's fun. So that's my thinking behind it, I like to layer obviously. But to say that I have a current favourite, just one piece of jewellery would be lying, it's not like lying, I don't know, I love jewellery so much you obviously can tell. I talk about it, I sell it, it's probably my number one love, next to my husband. My husband, he's not here so he doesn't know, but he could be equal to, he might be greater than, I don't know we'll figure that one out later. I love jewellery, jewellery just makes me really happy. So I like to layer where it gets more and more. So I thought I'd talk about my favourite combination right now and then do that, because I always have a new favourite combination and the idea of this channel was to do the current favourite. It’s not my permanent favourite, it's what I’m currently liking and currently I’m liking this combination. So what easier way to do this then, I'm going to take off all these necklaces and then put them back on and then I can talk about them a little bit. If you ever want me to make a video on a specific piece or something like that, I'll try but I can't really say that it really is my favourite. Whenever it's something like that, so I'm going to take this off I'll be right back. So this is probably the most naked that I feel ever, even when I'm naked. I have all my jewellery on, I shower in all my jewellery, so right now I feel the most naked that I could possibly feel. Let's start out with something I feel everybody should own, and it doesn't mean to own, like you need to own something. I personally think everyone should own a diamond pendant but that doesn't mean it has to be a diamond pendant. I just think everyone should own some kind of pendant and this one is my city heavens disk. It's the large disk with pavé diamonds and it is on an 18 inch chain and one of the questions I get a lot too, is what are pavé diamonds? Basically pave diamonds, pave basically means paved. So there's not very much, here I'll show you this one. There's not much metal to diamond ratio, so that's paved in diamonds. They also are full cut diamonds, so when you think of a diamond, you think of like a diamond like this. It's a full cut diamond, so they're full cut, so they're not just little chips and so whenever the light hits them it's going to get more light going through it then a little chip would have. Because they're so small, they can be of a higher quality than diamonds like this. You won't necessarily get as many, you can get so many little diamonds for a good price for the quality, if that makes any sense, I probably not making sense but I can talk about it again another day. So I think feel like everyone should own a pendant. Whether it be diamond whether it be nothing. Some people, just that's that; that's their look and it's pretty, it's very pretty but I'm like, then I can't get uses out of all my jewels. So then I want to layer and then let's say I take my Lisa tapas 42 inch chain and I just kind of throw that over. You can either wear it like that, cute, whatever or you could basically have three necklaces now. I’ve got then like a 16 inch, let's see, let's make it real pretty a 16 inch, an 18 inch and then this would be 26 inches I guess. If it's 42, yeah that makes sense, so 16 18 42. I think that looks really pretty, it also looks really pretty just by itself but you know I like to have the pendant and that. So that's really pretty but you know maybe not enough for me, I like to have a little extra. Let's add another diamond pendant just because we love our diamonds and then this is my little medium disc on a 16 inch chain, I think. Then we just add that little bad boy. I need to do a video on my favourite jewellery cleaner too. I need to clean all these because you know, when you wear them, you don't need to clean them as much as if you weren't wearing it. You know what I mean. So that's pretty, that's pretty, even that and that just by itself is really pretty. I like to wear that combination just by itself, but, then I like to add my little splash of colour because I’m really loving this necklace, which is the stone chain necklace and it's an emerald. That stone is an emerald and what's cool about it is that you don't really see in my videos is it a little bit longer here in the back so this dangles on the back of your neck. So if you were to be wearing your hair up or if you had a short haircut and that poked out there's a little crystal, Swarovski crystal on the end, this one's clear. The other stone necklace is a lot of times she's been making them with a Swarovski crystal that matches the stone, but this one, you know, just has a little clearer one. Then you can adjust this, so you can put it wherever you want on the chain. I'll probably make mine about 18 inches because that seems to be my favourable length. I like to add this colour because green is one of my favourite colours. I have a couple favourite colours, purple, green, pink but this is my go-to neutral colour, this colour green. If ever get a handbag or something in a colour, I tend to gravitate towards this colour, just because I like it and I think it adds a splash of colour but basically this is my favourite jewellery combination right now. You can tell I love jewellery right? I would love for you all to maybe tell me what your favourite combination of jewellery is, or if you just like to wear one, let me know down below. If you want to video response with your favourite combination I would love to see that. I'll put my facebook down below too because if you want to post a picture on my facebook wall, of your favourite jewellery combination, I’d love that. I just like jewellery, I like to look at jewellery. This is my favourite, I think it's pretty, I think it's really pretty. If you have any other questions about anything feel free to put them down below, they all can be purchased on my website at www.thecurrentcustom.com Luckily I can sell jewellery as much as I love it. Then you know just other things, I need to get more bangles on because usually I’m a bracelet person, I usually will actually wear more bracelets then I do necklaces but I think I’m just in like some kind of necklace phase right now. So we're just going through our current phase but put your information down below whatever and I’ll see you tomorrow with another video, goodbye. Jewellery has always been a big part of my life especially gold jewellery. It's been tradition where my grandma would pass down her jewels to my mom and my mom is to tell me, one day Chriselle, when you get old enough, I'll do the same for you.
What I love most about vintage pieces is that they come with so much history. One of my absolute favourite ways to wear jewellery is mixing my vintage pieces with more modern ones. I always like to start off with the base and that base is usually a vintage piece that has a sentimental value to it. This gold necklace is my mom's I was passed down from my grandmother the day that she got married and of course she passed it down to me last year on my wedding day. I've been wearing this necklace as a base mixed in with my more modern gold pieces. Since this necklace is long I layered a shorter gold necklace above that and I continued to work my way up with shorter necklaces so that they beautifully waterfall down my chest. I've been really into layering dainty delicate necklaces one on top of each other. One of my favourite things to do especially during the holidays is going home. I grew up in a small town called Danville in Northern California and there are a number of amazing vintage shops that I always visit. This bracelet that I found at the vintage store works perfectly with my current favourite gold pieces and just as bracelets can make the simplest of outfits look extremely intricate and glamorous, the right gold jewellery like a classic set of gold rings can do just the same. One of my most coveted pieces from my collection is this gold diamond ring that was passed down to my mom for my grandma the day I was born. My mom thought it was appropriate since I'm born in April and my birthstone is a diamond. She said the diamond is a symbol of inner strength balance clarity and abundance. I balanced it out by stacking on my modern basic gold ring. What I love most about dainty gold rings is that you can wear it on its own for a very simple and classic look or you can add as many as you want to create more of a statement. There are endless varieties and combinations the way you can wear your gold rings. During the holidays I love wearing more bold statement pieces. This vintage emerald ring is one of my most coveted as it is associated with royalty, faithfulness and friendship. What I love about rings is that you're able to wear in multiple ways. Not only can you wear it on your fingers but you can also wear it around your neck as a necklace. This is a great way to modernize a vintage heirloom by making it into a charm necklace. Here I pair my mom's vintage emerald rings with more dainty modern ones, because it's such a large piece, I paired it with delicate modern pieces to keep the focal point on the ring. The reason why I love investing into dainty gold bands is that you can wear them in isolation, with other rings or stagger them along your fingers to adorn your knuckles. I opted for these gold star earrings rather than a necklace since this dress has a high halter neckline. When working with statement pieces it's all about finding the perfect balance. I find it more unique and special when I make the match vintage and modern bracelets together. This bracelet that I found at a vintage store works perfectly with my current favourite gold pieces. Since this vintage gold bracelet is a bit thicker I like to work around it making it the focal point by adding things here and more delicate gold bracelets for the perfect gold arm party. With the right gold jewellery even the most simplest of outfits can look extremely intricate and glamorous. I think it's safe to say that whether it be a vintage heirloom or a modern piece gold never goes out of style. It's classic, yet modern, elegant yet extremely trendy. There are really no rules on how to wear gold jewellery but I hope that these little tips have helped you out on layering your own gold masterpiece this season. My only advice to you, is mix and match and make it your own, and of course, stay chic. Riva precision manufacturing presents the making of a gold chain bracelet. Before any piece of gold jewellery can be made, pure gold is mixed with a silver alloy in process called graining to create 18 karat yellow gold. The golden alloy granules are poured into a red hot crucible, melted and released into a pan of cold water. When the hot metal hits the water it solidifies again into granules that are now 18 karat yellow gold.
The granules now enter a continuous casting machine that transforms them into cylindrical bars, it works much like a spaghetti maker does, allowing the gold to flow through circular movements. The thick wire is then squeezed through rollers until it gradually becomes close to the desired size for our chain. Rolling the wire hardens the metals, so in order to make it more malleable it is coiled and placed into an oven for approximately 15 minutes. The coil is then dropped into water to quench it and the wire is then pulled through graduated multiple dies to get it to its desired thickness which is a 70,000th of an inch. The wire is softened once again, then fed into a chain making machine. The machine creates links from the wire and connects them together. After the links are connected the chain is coated in solder powder then ran through an oven to solder the links closed. The chain is then polished in a rotating tumbler. A master craftsman receives the chain, cuts it down to the appropriate size and adds on a jump ring on either end and a lobster claw. The jump rings are soldered shut either manually by fire torch or by a laser welding machine. Finally, the chain is hand polished to make it as eye catching as it is expertly crafted. The final product is a 70-5, 18 karat yellow gold chain bracelet. This video shows the technique of using powder soldering to join the links of a newly created gold chain. The chain treated with the chemical soldering powder is run through a kiln which causes the solder to flow and join the ends of the links together. Sometimes this process is not 100% effective and the strength of solder links may not be adequate. A better method, which we employ on all of our handmade gold chains is to laser weld the links individually, this produces a higher quality join with a better visual finish that is stronger than powder soldering. As the gold wire is rolled and pulled through dies, it becomes what is known as ‘work hardened’ and needs to be softened so that it can continue to be worked on. This is achieved by a process called annealing, which is simply heating the gold to red hot for a short period of time and alloying it to cool naturally, or be cooled by plunging it into a bath of water. The gold which starts as a bar and is then worked into a wire will be annealed several times before being turned into the finished gold chain. Some people keep diaries or journals, others make beautiful photo collages and others keep their memories and achievements forever preserved in a gold or silver charm collection. The very best thing about having a charm bracelet is that you can bring your stories and memories with you wherever you go and look stylish doing so! Charm bracelets are very personal but also make great conversation starters, each charm has a purpose and a memory to celebrate and people love hearing about the things you’ve conquered and achievements you’ve made.
Although charms usually hold a great deal of meaning that doesn’t mean you can’t build a charm bracelet because you would love to have something beautiful on your wrist, but essentially charms aren’t just about fashion. it’s exceedingly common to have a charm bracelet passed down through a family daughter to daughter, and each generation adding their cherished moments to it. Charm bracelets are an ongoing and beautiful gift that can be kept for generations and gifted down when the time is right. A charm bracelet new or old, is a beautiful gift to give and can always be added to and customised. Because these bracelets do last for so long, it’s important to purchase quality gold and silver charms, plated charms will wear down and expose the base metal in a very short manner of time and because they lack their original colour and shine they being to look cheap and unattractive. After the plating wears off these charm bracelets are very often left in their jewellery boxes because they become unsightly, hardly a good choice if you intend to carry a lifetime of memories or pass them down. Good quality charms don’t have to break the bank and over time the quality and craftsmanship of these charms will long outlast thought of the initial cost of your bracelet. When you’re wearing your bracelet years down the track or you’re gifting it to another lucky girl in your family and it still sparkles as brilliantly as the day you got it, you’ll be grateful you bought high quality silver and gold that lasted and will continue to let the distance. Charm have “jump rings” that join the charms to the links in the bracelet, these must be soldered shut by a jeweller or the potential for the jump ring to bend open under little pressure could mean the last of that charm. It’s a relatively cheap process to solder your charm jump rings and it’s worth every penny when you consider losing one of your beautiful charms to save a few dollars. There is an alternative to soldering rings by using Australian made link-locks, these don’t have to be soldered but can be squeezed closed by a pair of pliers which when closed are just as secure as jump rings. Of course we are talking charm bracelets! Traditional charm bracelets are just as popular now as they have been since the time Queen Victoria made them famous and the masses just had to copy her. As a display of all that is important and cherished in your life, a charm bracelet is hard to beat. Beautiful, shiny, jingly and most importantly, a walking talking diary of your own life. Many of our customers return several times each year to find the charm that shows off their latest achievement or success. It might be a special birthday, a musical charm or a graduation reminder. Each charm has a special meaning and shows a new step along the path of life. If you are just starting out, then remember that a charm bracelet is something you will cherish for your whole lifetime. Only a good quality sterling silver bracelet will last for many years, so don’t make the mistake of buying anything less. Cheap or silver plated jewellery just won’t make the grade. In time you will probably hand down your own bracelet to a loved one, so be sure to buy quality that will last. It is equally important to buy charms that will endure. Solid sterling silver, made well, is the only real choice. Make sure that each and every charm is soldered to your bracelet by a jeweller. Charms that are just hooked over your bracelet with an open jump ring are likely to come loose and the charm you bought will be just a memory. You are supposed to be keeping your memories, so make that trip to a jeweller or fit your charms yourself with the Australian made ‘link locks’ we offer as a fitting option in our store. Silver charms also make excellent gifts for friends and family. They are relatively inexpensive but will always make a lasting impression when you choose carefully. Pick a charm that shows you understand the importance of a close one’s achievement or milestone and it will always be appreciated. A charm can also be fitted with a closed jump ring so it may be worn on a necklace for those that don’t wear bracelets. To keep your silver charm bracelet looking like new, visit a jeweller once a year and have them professionally polish it for you. It also gives them a chance to check all the links and soldering of the jump rings to make sure it will give you no trouble. |
